The HMS Football Team was defeated by Causey Middle School 20-16.  This was the final game of the season.  Congratulations to all the team for another great season for the Cougars. The Cougars fell behind 20-0 early in the game but bounced back for a chance to win late in the game,  Quarterback David Watson threw a 60 yd. touchdown pass to JaMichael Rox for the first touchdown. The extra point was for ona run by LaMarcus Goodins.  David Watson scrambled to a touchdown on a 30 yd. run for the second score.  Goodins was good again in the extrapoint. Derion Neal and DeAnthony Ortiz-Braggs had fumble recoveries in the game.


The Hankins Football Team defeated Grand Bay 34-0.The Cougars are now two wins and one loss heading into Homecoming next Thursday. Scoring in the game began with DeMarcus Dates throwing a 65 yard touchdown pass to Leslie Thompson. On the next possession, Dates threw a 50 yard touchdown pass to David Watson.  LaMarcus Goodins ran in both two point conversions to make the score 16-0 Cougars in the first quarter. Isaiah ran for another touchdown from 30 yards out for a 22-0 lead.  DeMarcus Dates then intercepted a pass and ran 70 yards for another touchdown. Christian Sclaes completed the score with a 50 yard touchdown run.

Players of the week were Noah McCraney, Marcus Havard, Johnny Quick, Victor Tarrance, and Braxton Cleveland. 

Homecoming is next Thursday at 4:00pm against Calloway-Smith.
